Stake Camp Life has begun!!

We had our annual First Aid Clinic last night for all the girls in the stake. So now my life is going to get hectic preparing for girls camp July 20-24th at Zarahemla! We are going to have a blast!
Left to Right..Lora Wilcoxson..(Assistant to Janna)..Janna Theriault (StakeCamp Director) Me in the pretty blue scrubs, (Assistant to Janna) and Christina Goff...Creative Coordinator...she's amazing....her title used to be the crafts lady...but SHE is so much more than that!! And those 4 wonderful First Aid signs were made by the one and only ME....LOVE my cricut machine to death!!!

So glad that I get to be there with Jaycee for her first year at camp!! She's not going to believe how much fun camp is!! She gets to go to 6th grade camp on the 5th of May...then get's back the 7th just in time to see Kaylee and Shaylin when they come home for a visit!! YAY!! Good times to come!!

Jaycee certified in first aid...and learned all about wrapping a broken arm, along with some more important things! She's thrilled her Mother always has a camera on her!!

Easter Sunday and more..

This little boy....(who is almost 8 years old) just has a way of making people laugh!! At school, they were talking about the 5 senses...taste, smell...ect. The teacher asked Tanner which of his senses he though he used the most....his response was..."MY SENSE OF HUMOR!" The teacher tells me during conference time that she just can't help but laugh at this kid. He's a good boy, but he knows when someone needs a laugh! Funny kid! Tanner and I
... And speaking of funny, I just happened to capture (on film) the funniset thing at the church Easter Egg Hunt. Tanner brought his original Easter basket, but decided it wasn't big enough...so he used Sister Reeves display basket on the foyer table. When they said GO....Tanner took them seriously.....he rushed to pick up eggs as fast as he could.....but as soon as he put them in his basket, he'd tip the basket and they would all fall out!! (notice the egg falling out) He had everyone laughin' till they cried...I finally had to tell him that he was dropping all his eggs out. ha ha! It didn't slow him down a bit though, he got plenty!

Jaycee and I
Jaycee was getting discouraged looking for an Easter skirt, until we found some fun accessories...I told her..."it's all about the jewelry" She aggreed! Whew!

We told the kids that if they got all ready for church by 8 am...that we could do the egg hunt and open baskets...I couldn't believe my eyes!! We were all ready, and to church on time by 9 am!!

Me and Kev

Hope everyone had a nice Easter!
The night before,....Jaycee said...."The Easter Bunny isn't real is he?"
I thought she would believe forever!! Then Easter day, she said...so I guess there isn't a Santa is there? She was so giggly.....she said~ Kids at school had told me, but I wouldn't believe it till my own Parent's told me!!
She did say..."I will ALWAYS believe in fairies though!!"
Oh to be so sweet!!

Inspiration

So...,completely inspired by the American Crafts website yesterday, I made a can of flowers, and did a layout!! I needed a diversion, and it was nice to scrap again! My flowers are somewhat different from those on the website, but I had to use what I had! Such cute ideas!!

My can of flowers

The flowers that inspired me!

It seems that 2 days of sunshine was enough for around here, cuz the rain is back! Man I was really liking the 70's! On the otherhand, my allergys are better today...probably because of the rain! So, guess I can't complain!

It was Tanner's turn to be "The first mate of the week" at school this week. His class is the "Whitworth Pirates"....the classes all have college names, and they even have a cheer and everything! So Monday after school, Tanner pulls out this white piece of paper and says he has to bring it back on Tuesday!!! Now this isn't something that I take lightly....so out comes the Cricuit cutting machine and Tan and I get to work. He decided his favorite color this week is Orange, so we went with Orange gray and black. Tanner colored in the letters, making designs and all, and the border. When it was all finished, I had to run to Freddy's at 10:30 and pick up a black poster board...it needed more besides the white!! Tanner was pleased with the outcome! Whew...we did it!! The next morning when Tanner was having breakfast he said that he had to help a kid in his class with his last month, because he kept on forgetting to do it! Poor kid, but sweet of Tanner to help his little friend feel special! Tanner gets to do all sorts of fun things this week on his class, and he's excited it's his turn!

Just what the Dr. ordered!

I tell ya!! Eastern Washington is the best!! Especially when you need some HEAT!! It was beautiful over there at Beverly...we all got some pink on our white bodies...and it felt great to lounge around, ride quads, fly kites, play cards, and have fun with our friends for a few days! It's alot of fun riding now, because Jaycee and Tanner can keep up with us quite well. They are getting really good at riding! Kev moved Tanner from a 90cc quad to a 200, THE BLASTER and he loves it, and rides it very well! I love quading too!! I'm ready to do some trailin' now that we've done the dunes this year! Bring on the mud!!Kev and Tan. Pretty dirty faced kid...it was dusty on the dunes!!Tanner took some time to fly a kite inbetween riding quads!Remember this kite Shyn? Tan didn't want to miss a beat!! He's almost asleep~even before he ate his nice roasted marshmellow...now thats a tired, worn out little boy!So Kevin is visiting with some of our neighbors, and asks what this is, and they say, "take it for a spin!" So here comes Kev in our campspot riding this silly thing!! We were crackin' up!Jaycee all cozy on the couch in the motorhome!
They have been looking forward to quading all week!! We have decided to camp alot this summer, so we're plannin some trips! Fun fun!

Thanks Shaylin!!

So we got home last night pretty late from our Fabulous weekend, and had a package waiting on the door for the kids! Perfect......this way, they took showers quickly to get ready for bed, so they could open the box!

Sweet Sister who thought of them and had basketballs personalized by the famous HUGE former Lakers basketball player AC Green!! (You can read more about him and see how tall this guy is by going to Shyn's blog) http://shaylindewey.blogspot.com/2009/03/holy-huge.html
They loved the gifts Shyn...and Jaycee was THRILLED about the shirts...as you can see from the photo's!!

Spring Break and OUT of the house!

~Jace and Tan at the science center...

So we are all well now...man that was a wicked bug going around!! And since we have been stuck in the house for 3 weeks now...with everyone taking turns being sick...this, the week of Spring Break ...,we WILL NOT be stuck in the house!!

Monday...we went to The Science Center....my kids favorite is the tide pool with all the creatures in it....so therefore, the reason we went to Salt Water State Park today. So we could catch our own crabs and have fun with them!! Rain and all....(man..you can really tell we are ready to be out!!)Seriously...Salt Water was way more fun!! We are leaving tommorrow for Eastern Washington...maybe we will find a little sun?! Crossing our fingers!!
