Harvest Fest

Every year on the 1st Saturday of October, alot of the farms around Pierce Co. open their gates to the public. We can pick a variety of fruits....dig potatoes, feed the animals, pick our own apples and press them into cider right there. This year we went inbetween sessions of Conference, so their Cider Press was closed...but since Kevin and the kids ordered this juicer off of QVC last year...we just came home and juiced our own apples...too fun!!
These two wouldn't miss this event for nothing!! It was raining like crazy...and they still wanted to go!! Course who wears rain jackets in Washington?! Certainly not us...we should have!! As I'm shooting pictures inbetween down pours...ha ha!
Tanner found every mud puddle around to walk through...of course he couldn't walk around it...NOT with RAINBOOTS on..."that's what their for MOM", I couldn't agree with him more!!
So Jaycee joined him...I eventually took over pushing the wheelbarrow so they could play in the puddles. A nice break in the day!! And the cider was delicious!!

This farm is completely organic....we even picked up a loaf of organic bread to have with our clam chowder..using our freshly dug red potatoes of course~
